Ozone Player is a fancy pants moniker for Finnish electronic artist, Otso Pakarinen.
With 3 decades of music making under his belt, Insane Logic is good representation of Otso's experience.
A soothing afternoon hunt for shooting stars, this disc will come off too frilly for hard ambient techno fans, although cross over fans appreciating gritty soundscapes will find the pleasingly quirky electronic compositions daring and artful.
Praise, track 7, is a lush landscape of digital drum and bass style rhythm making splintered with symmetrical diversions of horn sounds. Everyday music folk addicted to the craft of instrumental electronic music will find a hero in Otso. His pieces move at an emotional pace that does not overwhelm the senses as much as they support absorption of the murkier realms.
The bulk of the 12 tracks will provide quality mood setters for those of the meditative arts in need of alpha-wave surfing paraphernalia, as well as plain old caffeine freaks looking for an oasis of calm chaos.
