Ozone Player is a solo electronic project from Finland, deriving sounds from various techno and ambient influences and mixing them with some very odd sounds. The first track "Whales in Fog" sounds like a warped childrens song. Track 3 "The Reality Dysfunction" starts to bring in the beats (subtle but they are) blended with strange sounds galore. Track 4 "Casino Mobile" scares me, maybe its the cheese factor of it with all the synth voices making doo wop with happy piano sounds. Track 9 "Warezz" is probably the best song on the album with heavy sub bass kick drums and strange dark loops. The album overall builds itself mostly from ambience, almost like a tuned down version of Black Lung full of really off the wall sounds that I feel really hurt the music as a whole. Idon't know what they are using for sound source but I think with less cheesy and dated sounds the material will be a lot stronger.
