This is an interesting album, to say the least. I have no idea how to categorize this album, as it jumps back and forth between all sorts of electronic genres. You have ambient parts, industrial rythms, ethnic tunes, experimental pulses and "easy listening" electronica. You won't know what is next! Going in many directions like this can be either good or bad; in this case it is good. The CD is like a fairy-tale book written by a sailor who has been in all corners of the world, giving us a musical taste of everything that is out there. No, it's more like a soundtrack to a freak movie with goblins and trolls - the Jim Henson / David Bowie flick Labyrinth comes to mind. Or one of those off-beat twisted "funny" X Files episodes. Interesting indeed.
Hmm... Well, what more can I say? I already said it was impossible to describe. It's a humourous album, no doubt about that, and you may need a twisted sense of musical humour to appreciate the album. The album is not "straight" and do not follow any of the conventions most experimental albums follow, so you need to be open minded and adventurous to enjoy the musical ramblings Ozone Player offers.
